PROGRAM

Now more than ever, it is critical to take action to reinvent our future! While the Covid crisis has undoubtedly shaken countries, economies and societies around the world, it also offers a unique opportunity to reinvent and redefine the future for the current generations as well as generations to come. The resilience of our societies and businesses have been tested in real scale, and will be again in the coming years. Visions are needed for businesses and citizens to start taking action and create new products, services, and ways of living.

As such, setting long term goals for 2050 should help companies today develop new technologies, products, services and establish new business models. It is therefore crucial to wonder:

whAt
Are the
Visions

whAt

To attempt answering these ambitious questions, the 2021 French-Japanese Business Summit will gather top-level international speakers from diverse backgrounds – from institutions, citizens and businesses to social sciences, art and architecture – to share their visions for long-term resilience, their strategies to achieve it, and the opportunities they foresee.

The French Chamber of Commerce has been contributing since its foundation in
1918 to strengthen the collaboration between French and Japanese companies, and
as such the strong ties that hold France and Japan together. By fostering debate and
sharing ideas, the Business Summit will once again be a unique opportunity for
leaders from our two countries and beyond to contribute to shape a vision for a
common future. This year, keeping in mind French and Japanese roadmaps for carbon
neutrality, speakers will help the audience draw possible futures for 2050 and
undoubtedly contribute to developing new relations between France and Japan.
